Jillian Michelle Purna Yoga Ambassador/ 2,000-Hr Certified, practicing since 1998, teaching since 2008, founder of Yelm Yoga Center and Purna Yoga 360. Background and current passions: Graduated from Lake WA College in personal training, physical fitness & nutrition, continued my education with a BA from Cornish College of the Arts, majoring in Interior Design and Motion Graphics. I started practicing Yoga in between all the sitting required for editing videos and animation. Asana helped create the illusion of more time, which helped relieve a lot of stress and anxieties. After looking for an in depth education in anatomy I was introduced to The College of Purna Yoga. The 12 years of continual education has helped me stay on track living a healthy consistent life style. I feel healthy and inspired to help others be pro active in their own health. My specialty is education about the longevity our amazing bodies. As everything in life there is always room for refinement and that is why its important to keep up with my continual weekly education, consistency of health in life is the practice to see real results. Feel good first, then the rest of your life moves into alignment.

Background and current passions: As a resident of Yelm Washington, I graduated from near by Rainier high school and President of the Local Community Service Club. I enjoy playing piano and guitar when I'm not practicing Asana along with appreciating the outdoors. Winter is my favorite season as I love to ski. Yoga has been an Absolute in my life allowing me to exceed in all of these activities bringing full awareness and ability to value every moment. I began yoga practice in 2011 when introduced to Jillian and her beautiful studio. I ran track for a few years before I started yoga so I needed to stretch out my tight hips/hamstrings. I am now much more flexible and the transformation is major in my body. Consistent Asana practice and dedication has created so much stability, strength and flexibility in my mind and body. I treasure the knowledge that my teachers and Asana practice has given me. Yoga Teacher Training has given me the knowledge about Nutrition, Anatomy, Self Discipline, Self Love and Care. These things have helped to create me into the woman I have become who lives a life of Progress, Love, and Healthy living. To be able to share my passion of yoga with others, brings me Joy!!

Background and current passions: Nine years ago I was blessed to find Jillian and Purna Yoga. This was a perfect finding to launch my new life having just retired from 40 years of teaching in the public school system. Purna Yoga offered knowledge, support and guidance to create and keep my body, mind and spirit healthy and whole. Beginning as an avid gardener I was continually challenged with back and shoulder pain. That is now a thing of the past. I still love to garden, hike, travel, explore sacred geometry, and spend time with friends. I enjoy sharing all I have learned: the joy of creating a healthy, happy life at any age.

Background and current passions: Yoga is a foundation for my life, and lifestyle. I started attending Jillian’s classes at age sixteen. I decided to take a chance and learn more about yoga. Since then I am certified in alignment based yoga from the college of Purna Yoga in the 200 HR and the 500 HR teacher training. I am very grateful to have a yoga practice in my life and am passionate about sharing this with others. I am committed to creating presence, joy and gratitude in my classes. I teaches all levels of classes. It’s important to me that students leave the class feeling uplifted, light hearted and connected to themselves. I also enjoy cooking, going to the gym, my cats, and of course family and friends!
